The Château's 2021 Red draws you immediately into the liquorice-laced, nobly vegetal depth that Mourvèdre offers in its youth. The palate is sappy, fresh and long, with a lovely saline finish over fine, refreshing tannins. A year in bottle has done it a great deal of good (bottled in June 2023), and it is ready to open up and stretch out as spring shows its face.
