The 2006 Red is a dense wine with a deep colour. From the outset, it displays a skilful balance between nervous texture, straightforwardness and elegance, so characteristic of the Mourvèdre of great ageing years. Marked by small berries, the bouquet evokes notes of rosemary and sage, attesting to the origin of its terroir of fragrant garrigues. Liquorice and truffles are very present. Full and powerful on the palate, with a particularly velvety, slightly sapid finish.
This wine should be decanted for an hour, to allow it to lengthen and open out gently.
